
GreenTech Amsterdam was an important milestone for QUSMOS.
During the event, we had the opportunity to meet greenhouse operators, technology providers, agronomists, investors, and innovation partners from across the controlled-environment agriculture ecosystem. The discussions confirmed one thing very clearly: energy efficiency, operational optimization, and smarter decision support are becoming central challenges for the future of greenhouse production.
For QUSMOS, this is exactly where our work begins.
We are building a quantum-ready AI optimization engine for complex industrial systems, starting with greenhouse energy optimization. Our goal is to help operators identify cost-aware, constraint-safe operating plans that reduce energy consumption while respecting climate requirements, crop needs, and operational limitations.
Strong Interest from the Greenhouse Technology Ecosystem
At GreenTech, we had valuable conversations with leading players and experts in the greenhouse sector, including Wageningen University & Research, Priva, Ridder, Curaleaf, Agritecture, Oost NL, Hortscan / Avemoy, and several other companies active in greenhouse technology, automation, cultivation, and innovation.
A particularly valuable exchange took place with Priva, including discussions with Natasa Jovanovic and Edo van Keulen. As one of the key technology providers in greenhouse climate control and automation, Priva represents exactly the kind of ecosystem partner that can help bring advanced optimization closer to real greenhouse operations.
We also had a very interesting conversation with Curaleaf about the potential of smarter optimization in high-value controlled-environment cultivation, where energy costs, climate stability, and operational precision are especially important.
Why Greenhouse Optimization Matters
Modern greenhouses are no longer simple production environments. They are complex industrial systems where heating, ventilation, screens, CO₂, lighting, humidity, crop growth, energy tariffs, weather forecasts, and operational safety constraints all interact.
The core challenge is not only to keep the climate stable. Existing climate computers already do this very well.
The deeper economic question is:
Among all safe operating strategies, which one minimizes energy cost while protecting climate stability and production quality?
This is where QUSMOS focuses.
Our system is designed to work on top of existing greenhouse control systems. It does not replace the climate computer. Instead, it acts as an intelligent optimization layer that evaluates possible operating plans and identifies better decisions for the hours ahead.

Quantum-Inspired Today, Quantum-Ready Tomorrow
Greenhouse operation is a high-dimensional optimization problem. The number of possible operating paths grows extremely fast when we consider multiple control variables, time steps, constraints, and objectives.
QUSMOS approaches this challenge with AI-based modelling, digital twins, and quantum-inspired optimization methods. Today, this enables us to create value using classical and quantum-inspired approaches. Tomorrow, as quantum hardware matures, the same architecture can be prepared for quantum acceleration.
This is the long-term vision of QUSMOS:
to build the optimization layer for the quantum era.
Greenhouses are our first application field because they combine a clear economic pain point, measurable energy costs, strict operational constraints, and strong demand for innovation.

GreenTech Amsterdam gave us direct feedback from the market and helped us validate the relevance of our approach with people who understand greenhouse operations deeply.
The next step is to turn these conversations into concrete collaborations, pilots, and technical integrations.
